This is vanity project that I always wanted to make. I’ve been making comics on lined paper since high school. I was never quite good enough to make a quality comic book like my favorite “Savage Sword of Conan” at that time. After 30 years doing day jobs and other things I finally have acquired enough skill to attempt it.
This is a first attempt. The 3 stories within all are 30+ years old back from when I first wrote them but was lacking as an illustrator. One of them I even wrote on that same lined paper while sitting in class with very crude drawings. Well with some minor editing of the words and complete new artwork I have completed this 32 page graphic comic. It is black & white artwork in a style similar to SSOC.
I’ll not claim I succeeded yet with this first issue. It is but a stepping stone and the process of following through and actually completing the project helped me to learn how to make the next issue even better. I honestly think this is a good effort.
