SANYO MBC 550 Mess Emulator – Pre configured 32bit version
Here is a pre-configured MESS Emulator with the bios roms & 2 sanyo bootable disks. Archive is about 21 megs to download. Then just select from the software folder the disk image you want to load. If you boot the picasso disk. It also has a TSR program is dos called px.exe which will allow you to view a graphics demo in basic which is also on this disk.
Sanyo MBC 550/555 System disks 1 regular dos 2.11 sanyo system disk & 1 Sanyo Video Board Boot Disk for the CGA Board. (Note you will not be able to see the regular display but only the cga output)
deSmetC c language compiler that works natively on sanyo mbc 550
deSmetC c language compiler that works natively on sanyo mbc 550. Make your own native dos programs for the sanyo and make sure to send me a copy. I’ll post anything I make up here …eventually. I have a number of c games programmed for other systems and have always meant to convert one or 2 over to the sanyo. Includes for disks which can be combined into a single directory if you have space and a pdf manual.
Picasso is an art program specific to the sanyo hardware. Included is a TSR program called px.exe to run a slide show in basic. Sanyo basic is also included.
Demon Seed. It kind of boots in the emulator but the screen is doubled and it soon crashes. Works fine on a real mbc 550
Cashman. It kind of boots in the emulator but the screen is doubled and it soon crashes. Works fine on a real mbc 550

Galactic Empire β a very good space conqest & management of resources game.
A medical records program. and some other programs in basic.
Larn which is an addictive RPG using ascii grahics. Really good!
Zork 1 ,2 & 3 for Dos. They work perfectly on the Sanyo as well.
Slide Show 002
I recently wrote a program to save modern graphics into a sanyo compatible file format. This then can be loaded in picasso or in the slideshow as attached. This is an autoboot disk image. Itβs really amazing to see just how good the graphics could be even in 3 bit colour. I made several games on the sanyo and I may update my star trek game graphics based on this before releasing it.
Sanyo Bundled OFFICE Software Archive: CalcStar.DSK, InfoStar Disk ,Mailmerge and SpellStar, WordStar and a sanyo boot disk all in one zip archive. Below Is Time Bandit. I have the ATTACHED THE DISK IMAGE (made using teledisk 1.15) BUT IT IS COPY PROTECTED AND WON’T RUN. I believe it has that int 13 copy protection technique. Runs only from the original disk which I have. Please let me know if you get it to run but it shouldn’t work. These games run from dos which needs to be loaded first. The game will then start to boot but check to see if the original disk is in the drive before running. I can run from these disk images if I put any original michtron game disk in the drive though.
Here is a youtube video of Timebandit for the sanyo mbc 550 that I made
